WHY NOW?

All Californians want government that works for us. Whatever our zip code or neighborhood, whether we’re well-off or struggling, whether our ancestors came from elsewhere or have been here for millennia, we want to feel safe in our communities and know that California is building a better future for us and future generations.

The Trump Administration has betrayed us all, and especially California. They send masked ICE agents to kidnap immigrants, dividing families, terrorizing communities, and impoverishing hard-working people. They deny us the benefits of our tax dollars, cutting healthcare and vital scientific and medical research. They poison our public discourse, using the language of hate and violence to bully people into silence. They wreck the schools and universities needed to train the next generations. Mass shootings and inflation are up, while taxes on billionaires go down.

We’ve had enough. It’s time to show our country that we will hold the line against a mad king and his toadies. That we will stand together, for all of the diverse peoples that make us the 4th largest economy in the world. That our non-violent actions are stronger than their hate.

We are California Strong and we will Hold the Line against tyranny.
